Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Inspector and CMM Operator to join our precision manufacturing team at our Holbrook, NY facility. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining our exceptional quality standards, conducting precision inspections on aerospace components, and ensuring strict compliance with customer blueprints and aerospace regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Precision Inspection: Perform first piece, in-process, and final AQL sampling inspections to ensure parts meet all dimensional and cosmetic specifications.
- CMM Operations: Conduct heavy CMM inspection operations. Programming and operating using PC-DMIS software is highly preferred.
- Quality Documentation: Complete and maintain all applicable quality records, inspection reports, and documentation.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and report any non-conformances, deviations, or material discrepancies to management immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Execute additional quality control duties and support tasks as assigned by the senior leadership team.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Aerospace Inspection: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in aerospace mechanical inspection.
- CMM Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current, active CMM operation experience (PC-DMIS experience is a major plus).
- Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting complex customer engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
- Equipment Mastery: Demonstrated ability to effectively use standard manual measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, etc.).
- Industry Standards: Solid understanding of and familiarity with the AS9100 Quality Management System.
Education, Licensing, & Eligibility:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Language: Must be fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Schedule & Flexibility:
- Type: Full-time, Day Shift
- Standard Hours: Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM | Friday: 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM (We offer flexibility with these hours for the right candidate)
